Management Appointment -- February 2016

Kriz-Davis Co. is pleased to announce that Randy Spaulding has been appointed as the Division Manager for our Joplin, Pittsburg, Nevada, and Grove locations. Randy has over 25 years of experience in our industry as a master electrician and contractor. He has also held sales positions with Russell Belden and most recently in an outside sales role with Kriz-Davis Co. since RBE joined our company in 2013. Randy’s experience and work ethic lends him well in his new role. Congratulations to Randy on his promotion!

Board of Directors Appointments -- October 2015

Kriz-Davis Co. is pleased to announce that Bryan Mason, CSP, and Ted Myers were promoted to the position of Vice President & Division Manager on the company's board of directors.

Bryan started his Kriz-Davis career in Salina in 1995 and has held several positions including purchasing and then the role of the Salina division utility specialist. In 2007 Bryan was appointed as the Wichita Division Manager of which he has held since. In addition to his management assignment, he also has oversight for the Rolling Hills and Sumner Cowley KDMI (Kriz-Davis Managed Inventory) customer alliances.

Ted joined Kriz-Davis in 2000 as the division industrial specialist in St. Joseph. Then in 2009 he was appointed as the St. Joseph Division Manager, which he has held since. Further complimenting his skillsets, Ted has been in the industry for over 30 years holding prior sales and management positions with American Electric/CED. In addition to his St. Joseph responsibilities, he is also the division manager for the new Kansas City location and the Co-Mo and United Electric Cooperative KDMI customer alliances.

Both gentlemen will continue in their current division manager roles. Congratulations and best wishes to Bryan and Ted on their well-deserved appointments and promotions.

Kriz-Davis Co. Opens New Branch in Kansas City

Kriz-Davis Co., headquartered in Grand Island, Neb., will open a new branch in Kansas City, Kan. in an industrial park within the Fairfax District in Wyandotte County. This will be the 18th full-line stocking location for the organization, which is expected to open in the May or June timeframe.

The new facility will allow Kriz-Davis to expand their geographic footprint for development of a new customer base as well as to better serve existing customers with a physical presence in the Kansas City area. The 17,000 square foot facility will house counter sales, a training center, and offer a local daily delivery service. In addition to his division manager duties in St. Joseph, Ted Myers will oversee management of the branch serving the contractor, utility, industrial and commercial/institutional markets.

Kriz-Davis Co. Acquires Chapman Metering LLC

Kriz-Davis Co. has entered into an agreement to acquire Chapman Metering, LLC in Avoca, IA from Western Ventures, Inc. a subsidiary of Nishnabotna Electric Cooperative in Harlan, IA and Larry Chapman. The closing date for this acquisition will be April 1, 2015. Chapman Metering, LLC currently employs 17 employees.

The company will continue to operate as Chapman Metering, LLC and will be a division of and a wholly owned subsidiary of Kriz-Davis Co. with the current leadership, headed up by Larry Chapman, remaining in place. It will draw upon the various resources and benefits Kriz-Davis is able to offer, including the employees becoming a part of the employee stock ownership plan (ESOP). There will also be expanded services available into the future as a part of the agreement.

Chapman Metering was established 55 years ago by Lawrence A. Chapman as a watt-hour meter testing service and has grown to provide services in the public power market to over 500 clients in 17 different states with more than 100,000 meters serviced per year. Today, the company is regarded as one of the premier service providers in the utility metering industry.
